Microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) helps prevent many diseases due to both mechanical cleansing of the intestine and general cleansing of the body, because its sorption properties are significantly increased due to special treatment. Often, the MCC is spoken of as a means to achieve longevity.

The primary elimination of toxins with preservation of normal components of flora and nutrients is associated with an overabundance of their pathogenic structures in the intestine and poor fixation of them to the mucous membrane. The normal microflora is fairly tightly fixed between the villi of the intestine and is therefore not actively excreted.
